Sensei (teacher) Boggs is our Chief Instructor and currently holds the rank of 5th Dan (5th Degree Black Belt). He also has earned Black Belts in Judo and Jujitsu.
In 1995 he joined Goshin Karate & Judo Academy. In December of 2000 he was awarded his first Degree Black Belt by Mike & Cathy Anderson, the founders of the Goshin Karate & Judo Academy.
Sensei Boggs charts the path of the dojo for the future. He sets the curriculum for all classes, determines belt promotions and leads the adult and children’s classes.
He has a vast wealth of knowledge and is the example of skill that we all aspire to obtain. His commitment to our dojo by demonstrating the benefits of the right attitude.
He began training in the Martial Arts in the 1970′s (Judo, Wrestling, and Taekwondo) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, before relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1986.
His passion for all things “martial arts” powers his daily training ethic and he continues to grow as a martial artist through guidance from many sources in the Judo, Jujitsu and Karate community.
All instructors must attend our special Instructor Training Program, where they are trained in the “Goshin Method”, which emphasizes teaching with positive feedback and character building methods of instruction. Most instructors are drawn from within our own ranks.
Our Leadership Team consists of Highly Motivated Individuals who not only excel in their community and in the school, but they are helping to teach others to do it as well. They go out of their way to help others and they always train on a consistent basis. Leaders Lead By Example. They help teach class as if it is the most important class they will ever teach. They set a great example for all others to follow.
